Excellence is the standard , not the goal with Fatima Djelmane Rodriguez
Fatima Djelmane Rodriguez, a native Angeleno from the San Gabriel Valley, is the first Latina CEO of Ronald McDonald House Charities of Southern California (RMHCSC), the largest RMHC chapter in North America. Fatima is a visionary leader, passionate about family-centered care and RMHCSC’s role in providing a crucial lifeline to families with children facing serious medical crises. Her leadership approach and contributions to the nonprofit sector were recently recognized by the Los Angeles Business Journal when Fatima was selected as one of four finalists for nonprofit Executive of the year.
A graduate of USC and the University of Texas at Austin, Fatima's dedication to community service led her to an impactful seven-and-a-half-year tenure at Proyecto Pastoral, the birthplace of Homeboy Industries, where she played a pivotal role in enhancing the organization's infrastructure and solidifying its long-term financial stability.
In 2013, she joined Camp Ronald McDonald for Good Times as Development Director, driven by the mission to improve the lives of children with cancer and their families. Her success in fundraising saw her rise to the role of Executive Director in 2017, and in January 2022, she assumed the position of CEO, overseeing RMHCSC's seven Ronald McDonald Houses, three Family Rooms, and Camp Ronald McDonald for Good Times. She is committed to building the foundation that will take RMHCSC into the next 50 years, establishing the organization as a best-in-class nonprofit exemplifying excellence and innovation in all it does.
Beyond her professional accomplishments, Fatima is dedicated to mentoring young professionals both inside and outside the organization, nurturing the next generation of leaders in the nonprofit sector. She also cherishes time with her husband Lucio and two daughters, Alejandra and Emma. Fatima's leadership is characterized by her unwavering commitment to service, advocacy, and community, making her a dynamic force in the nonprofit world.
